HISTORY:
Built in 1839 overlooking the town, it was one of the first female institutes of higher learning. The school closed its doors in the 1890s because of its inability to change with post Civil War America. Through the years the property served as a hospital, private residence, and a theater. In the 1950s, the building was allowed to fall into ruin. Paranormal activity surrounds the ruins.
